Meet David
David Hagele is a two-term Healdsburg City Council-member and is the Mayor of Healdsburg.
David spent his youth overseas living in Japan before returning to the United States for his high school years in Lincoln, Nebraska. After graduating from Pacific Union College, David founded a commercial real estate finance & consulting firm based in Healdsburg, California, where his passion was assisting small businesses navigate the complexity of the real estate financing process. In 2021, David was recruited to join a local community bank as a Relationship Manager, where he continues to help small businesses grow and expand their businesses. David was first elected to the Healdsburg City Council in 2016 and re-elected in 2020. During his first term as
Mayor of Healdsburg in 2019, David led the City through the Kincade Fire and the first ever evacuation of Healdsburg. David also serves on numerous commissions and boards on behalf of the City of Healdsburg including as the former Chair and current commissioner for the Northern California Power Agency (NCPA); Former Chair and board member for the North Coast Railroad Authority (NCRA); Former Chair & past Board Member for the Great Redwood Trail Agency and on the Healdsburg High School Scholarship Committee.
David lives in Parkland Farms with his wife Laurie, their 13 year old daughter Charlotte, who is active in Warm Springs 4H and loves to volunteer at the Senior Center & Prune Packer games and 11 year old son Jackson, who loves playing with his friends in Healdsburg Little League & playing his guitar.

Through his position as an elected official with a background in commercial real estate finance, David does not take for granted the unique position he has, not just to find opportunities to acquire or streamline potential funding sources for affordable and workforce housing, but to be a fierce advocate for his neighbors at the local, state and federal level.
